ECOMAR Cruise to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

A cruise on RRS Discovery was undertaken to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, 23rd July - 18th August 2008, as part of the NERC-funded consortium project ECOMAR. 8 scientsist participated on the cruise, led by Phil Bagley, , University of Aberdeen. ECOMAR (“Ecosystem of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge at the Sub-Polar Front and Charlie-Gibbs Fracture Zone”) is an element of MAR-ECO. The project is focused on patterns and processes in the vicinity of the Charlie-Gibbs Fracture Zone.
