 MS student Fred Marius Svendsen has successfully defended his Master of Science Thesis at the University of Bergen: "Taxonomic revision of the Synaphobranchus (Synaphobranchidae, Anguilliformes) species S. kaupii and S. affinis".
The thesis was based on material collected on the MAR-ECO 2004 expedition on RV G.O. Sars. The thesis was supervised by professor Prof Ingvar Byrkjedal (Bergen Natural History Collections, University of Bergen).
