The MAR-ECO Project Workshop was held in Kristiansand, Norway 20-22 October 2009. In total 54 scientists and students participated in the
workshop which included plenary sessions with invited papers, sub-group meetings, and poster presentations. 
The key aims of the workshop were: - To present project results and to report from ongoing activities
- Facilitate information exchange across sub-groups, and between scientists and students.
- Continue to stimulate analyses and publications through collaborative efforts
- To inform on syntheses efforts for the 2010 Census of Marine Life.
The MAR-ECO International Steering Group Meeting was held prior to the workshop on the19th October. A MAR-ECO Public event was held on the 21st October.
